"And this was really the way that my whole road experience began, and the things that were to come are too fantastic not to tell.”

Jack Kerouac, On the Road

Shorter post this week, just a quick "How I am is fine" from your friendly neighborhood traveling actor. Mid-next week, I plan to have a much more detailed look back on life on the road, but right now, the thought of writing about the tour amidst the chaos is a little overwhelming. The sad fact is that most of my days have been crazy whirlwinds of waking up early, riding on the bus for 6-8 hours, and usually going straight into sound check for the show that night. Before we got started, I thought time on the bus would be optimal reading and writing time, but I've mostly been restlessly sleeping. I really wish we could spend more than a few hours in each city, and that I had more exciting photos than the gas station in Kansas where we took a bathroom break.

Thankfully, these first two weeks seem to be the worst of the traveling schedule, and we'll have longer stretches of time in future cities. This past week, we performed at the Thaila Mara Hall in Jackson, Mississippi, the Heindl Center for Performing Arts in Senatobia, Mississippi, the Oxford Performing Arts Center in Oxford, Alabama, and Yardley Hall in Overland Park, Kansas. This week, we're on our way to College Station, Texas, and we end our first leg of the tour in Conway, Arkansas, before flying off to New York. As always, you can visit littlewomentour.com for all ticket information. Thanks for sticking with me.

And scene.
